INHLANGANO evikela abathengi, iNational Consumer Commission (NCC), ithi bazojeza kanzima osomabhizinisi abadayisa impahla ebolile nengekho emthethweni.
UKhomishana osabambile we-NCC, uMnuz Hardin Ratshisusu, uthe bayaqhubeka nomkhankaso wabo wokuhlola impahla edayisa eziphaza kanti bathole ukuthi lezi zitolo ziphula iConsumer Protection Act (CPA no 68 ka-2008) neminye imithetho yabathengi.
Uthe isigaba 55 seCPA sikubeka kucace ukuthi abantu kufanele badayiselwe impahla ephephile futhi ekhiqizwe ngendlela efanele.
“Osomabhizinisi abadayisa impahla edlulelwe yisikhathi bazohlawuliswa uR1 million noma u-10% wemali abayenzayo, kuya ngokuthi iyiphi imali enkulu kulezi. Sizoqhubeka nokuhlola ukudla okudayiswa ezitolo ukuvikela abantu,” kusho uRatshisusu.
Uveze ukuthi bahlole izitolo eziseNaledi, eSoweto, nezise-Eastern Cape abathole ukuthi zidayisa ukudla okubolile, okunye akunawo amalebuli achaza ngakho nabhalwe ngezilimi zakwamanye amazwe. Kuzokhumbuleka ukuthi kushone izingane eziyisithupha eNaledi okusolakala ukuthi zidle amachips eziwathenge ezitolo zabokufika.
Ukudla okutholwe ukuthi kudayiswa noma sekubolile okwezingane, oswidi, amajusi, noodles, amachips, amakhekhe nokunye okudliwayo.
Ubalule ukuthi ukudla okudayiswa sekudlulelwe yisikhathi kubeka engcupheni impilo yabantu njengoba kungabagulisa.
Uma beyohlola ukudla okudayiswa ezitolo, uRatshisusu uthe basuke behambisana namaphoyisa, uMnyango wezeMpilo, owezaseKhaya, owezabaSebenzi nezinye izinhlangano ezivikela amalungelo abathengi.
Ubalule ukuthi ezinye izitolo zidayisa ngisho inyama edlulelwe yisikhathi kanti abanikazi bazo abanikezani amarisidi uma umuntu eqeda kuthenga.
