UPHUME esekhala mi, izinyembezi emhlanganweni uDkt Eugenia Kula-Ameyaw weCricket South Africa (CSA), ngemuva kokumema abadlali bamaProteas abakhala ngokucwaswa ngokwebala kwikhilikithi yaseNingizimu Afrika.
Umkhankaso wakamuva wabadlali nezinkakha zakuleli zekhilikithi, obizwa ngeBlack Lives Matter (#BLM), udale ukuthi kuphumele obala inqwaba yabadlali (abasadlala nasebashiya), ngokuhlukunyezwa kwabebala kwikhilikithi yakuleli.
Lokhu kuphoqe ukuthi iCSA inyakaze ikhombise ukuthi izwile, futhi ibakhathalele labo abayizisulu zokuhlukunyezwa.
UKula-Ameyaw osanda kuqashwa yiCSA njengesinye sezikhulu eziphezulu, uthe bavumelane ngokuthi babize bonke abadlali abaphumele obala ngokuhlukunyezwa kwabo ukuzobalalela. Bezwe ukuthi yikuphi lapho bengaphathekanga kahle khona ukuze baphume nesisombululo.
“Ngiphatheke kabi kakhulu ngoba kunomdlali odumile, ongazange abhale ezinkundleni zokuxhumana kodwa othole ithuba lokukhuluma kulo mhlangano. Uthe uma echaza indlela ahlukumezeke ngayo, kwala kimina ngasikhihla ngenxa yobuhlungu ebengibuzwa. Kusikile kakhulu kimina, ngaphuma emhlanganweni. Ngashaywa wumoya ngaphuza amanzi,” kusho lesi sikhulu.
I-CSA ithathe isinqumo sokuvula ihhovisi elaziwa ngeCricket for Social Justice and National Building.
Ngaphansi kwaleli hhovisi kuzoba nehhovisi lomxazululi ozimele, ongekho ngaphansi kwiCSA. Yilapho abadlali nalabo abathintekayo ekuhlukunyezweni, bazokwazi ukubika izehlo zokucwaswa zisanda kwenzeka, bese zithathwa ngokushesha izinyathelo. Kuzophinde kwelulekwe ngokomqondo abahlukumezekile.
Umxazululi uzokhethwa ngasekupheleni kwenyanga ezayo. Yize kuyizaba ezinhle lezi ezenziwa yiCSA kodwa ayiphumeli obala ngokuthi abenzi bokubi bazojeziswa kanjani futhi ngayiphi indlela.
Isikhulu esiphezulu seCSA, uChris Nenzani, sixolisile kwabayizisulu zokuhlukunyezwa ngokwebala kwikhilikithi yakuleli.
“Siyaxolisa futhi siyezwelana nabadlali abahlukunyeziwe, siyiCSA. Kuyinto engemukelekile neze ukuhlukumeza noma ngabe okwaluphi uhlobo, ikakhulukazi njengoba sikuhulumeni wentando yabantu,” kusho uNenzani.
