UMNYANGO wezeMpilo kuleli uxwayisa umphakathi ngokusabalala kweqoqo lamagciwane omkhuhlane ahlasela umgudu wokuphefumula iRespiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), asabalele ezweni lonke njengoba kuyisikhathi somkhuhlane.
Umnyango uthe iRSV phakathi kwezinye zezimpawu zayo ohaqekile wehlelwa i-oxygen ehamba egazini lakhe okuholela ekutheni izicubu zakhe zingayitholi ngokwanele, bese ecobeka ekhathala.

“Igciwane le-RSV lidala ukugula ikakhulukazi ezinganeni ezincane nezinkinga zokuphefumula kubantu abadala. Isizini yomkhuhlane ngokuvamile ilandela i-RSV njengoba sesiqala ukubona ukwanda kwezifo.
“Yize izifo eziningi ezibangelwa umkhuhlane - amagciwane e-RSV ne-SARS-CoV-2 ngokuvamile adala ukugula okunqobekayo.
“Kuyenzeka lamagciwane adale ukugula okuholela ekutheni umuntu afe ikakhulukazi labo abasengcupheni," kusho uMohale.
Iphini likaNgqongqoshe walo Mnyango uDkt Sibongiseni Dhlomo, uthe amagciwane abizwa ngeRSV ahlasela abantu njalo ngesikhathi esithile sonyaka.
Uthe njengamanje amagciwane eRSV asabalele kakhulu. Kulula ukuthi aphambaniseke neCovid-19 ngoba izimpawu zakhona ziyefana.
“ICovid-19 nayo isekhona. Njengezwe asizange sikwazi ukugoma abantu abangu-90% ukuze kuvikelwe ukusabalala kwayo. Abagoma abanye abazange besajova ngemijovo yokwengeza amandla.
“Abantu abadala, abanezifo ezithinta amaphaphu nabake bahlinzwa ubende, abangayidli ngendlela imithi yabo yokuthithibalisa iHIV banamathuba amaningi okuhaqeka noma begomile," kusho uDhlomo.
