KUSENZIMA ukulibala ukuthi ilanga elashona emini KwaZulu-Natal, ngoMashi 12, 2021 ngesikhathi kwebuza iSilo samaBandla wonke, uZwelithini kaBhekuzulu. Ukukhala kwesizwe kwenanelwa ngamawa nezintaba zezwe elingafelwa nkonyane. Phela isizwe sasesiwumtshingo ubethwa ngubani ngemva kokwebuza kweNgonyama, eyayibhonga kwenanele iziziba nezilwandle. Kwenzeka okungajwayelekile iZulu eliPhezulu, seliyobhonga nezinye iziNgonyama eZulwini lamaZulu.

ISilo savumelana nabaningi abathi uma iKwaZulu-Natal ingeyona ingxenye yeNingizimu Afrika ekhululekile, intando yabantu iyofana nefile neyize leze. Lo mbono wawungasetshenziswa ukuthikameza ukufika kwentando yabantu kodwa iSilo sakhetha ukuwusebenzisa ukuletha uxolo nenkululeko eNingizimu Afrika.
Umnikelo kaNgangezwe Lakhe, ekuletheni uxolo mkhulu futhi uyohlala ukhunjulwa ngaso sonke isikhathi. Kuzokhumbuleka ukuthi ngesikhathi kusabusa uBhejane phum’esiqiwini, ayikho impi eyaphakwa ukuhlasela ezinye izizwe. Kuzokhumbuleka nokuthi iNgonyama yayidala uxolo uma abantu bayo bebhekene ngeziqu zamehlo. Okukhumbuleka kakhulu ukuthi iNgonyama yadala isimo esenza ukuthi ingabikhona impi kubantu ababakhele iKwaZulu-Natal.
Ubuhlakani nobunyoninco beSilo, bubonakala ngokuthi sasazi ukuthi ubukhulu baso babungaphezulu kwezinhlangano zezepolitiki nokuthi sasiyiSilo sawo wonke umuntu. Singenandaba nokuthi lowo muntu ulandela yiphi inhlangano yezepolitiki. Ngesikhathi kuhlasele udlame ngaphambi kokhetho lwango-1994, iSilo yiso esasiyinomfi ehlanganisa abalandeli bamaqembu epolitiki ahlukene anjenge-IFP ne-ANC.
Ngemuva kuka-2004, sekuphethe uKhongolose KwaZulu-Natal, kwaqhutshekwa ngamandla ukuhlonipha ubukhosi bukaZulu nokugcina isithunzi seNgonyama. Kwaphasiswa umthetho owaqinisekisa ukuhlonipha iqhaza leNgonyama. Lokhu kwaqopha umlando ezweni ukuthi amandla neqhaza leSilo ekuholeni nokuthuthukisa isifundazwe, kuphasiswe yisishayamthetho sesifundazwe sethu.
Ngemuva kwenkululeko ka-1994, owayenguNdunankulu waKwaZulu-Natal, oseyiNxusa uS’bu Ndebele, wasikhumbuza ukuthi uxolo lubalulekile ukuze kube nentuthuko. Uma lungekho uxolo, kuyanda ukucekelwa phansi kwempahla.
Ngesikhathi eyisikhulumi esiqavile kwi-African Peer Review Mechanism ngo-2006, uMazankosi wasikhumbuza ukuthi iKwaZulu-Natal “yisifundazwe esaziwa ngezimpi, esaziwa nangezinxushunxushu. Isifundazwe esibe nokugobhoza kwegazi ngenxa yokubhekana ngeziqu zamehlo kwabamnyama. Kuliqiniso ukuthi njengoba siyazi impi, lokho kusho ukuthi siyayizonda. Siyazazi izinxushunxushu, siyazizonda. Siyakwazi ukuchitheka kwegazi, siyakunyanya. Sifuna kube noxolo esifundazweni nesimo esinokubuyisana okungenamkhawulo”.
Akwehlanga kahle oHlangeni Lomhlabathi ukubona abantu balo beqothana bodwa. UNgangezwe Lakhe wayeyazi imiphumela emibi yodlame lwepolitiki yingakho nje, ayeluzonda.
Ngemuva komhlangano owadonsa amahora ayisithupha iSilo esaba nawo noMbhishobhi Desmond Tutu ngo-Ephreli 1994, uNgangezwe Lakhe wakhuluma nezintatheli kanje: “Ngithi akuphele ukubulalana njengamanje.” Siyambonga okaNdaba ngokuhola ngobuhlakani angavumi ukuchema neqembu lepolotiki futhi esikhumbuza sonke ukuthi singabantu bakhe noma sehlukene ngemibono yepolotiki.
ISilo saqhubeka sanxusa abaholi bendabuko ukuthi baqede izindawo ezazibizwa ngo-Alubhadwa, ukuze kuvuleke amathuba entuthuko, nohulumeni akwazi ukuhlinzekela imiphakathi ngezidingo ezinjengamanzi, ugesi, imigwaqo, izikole, izibhedlela nokunye. Lokhu kwaholela ekushintsheni kwempilo yabantu abamnyama okuyibo abaningi eNingizimu Afrika, eyayingafiki intuthuko kubo ngaphambilini ngenxa yobandlululo.
Njengoba sikhumbula uMdlokombane, sikhumbula nokuthi wahola isizwe ngezikhathi ezinzima. Ngesikhathi iSilo singumtapo ogcina amasiko namagugu esizwe, sabuye savuselela imikhosi ebalulekile kaZulu, enjengoMkhosi woMhlanga ogqugquzela ukuziphatha kahle ezimbalini zesizwe.
Ngesikhathi izwe libhuqwabhuqwa yingculazi nesandulela sayo, iNgonyama yavuselela usiko lokusoka ngokuthi inxuse amadoda namabhungu ukuthi basokwe. Wavuselela usiko olwaphela ngesikhathi seSilo uShaka ngenxa yokudlanga kwezimpi. Salibona igalelo lakhe egqugquzela isizwe ukuthi sizivikele egciwaneni loKhuvethe.
Ngo-2014 kuya ku-2015, ngesikhathi kubhoke ukuhlaselwa kwabantu bokufika kuleli, iSilo sahlaba umkhosi sanxusa ukuthi kube noxolo, sanxusa namakhosi ukuthi alwe nokuhlaselwa kwabantu bokufika.
Kwakubalulekile lokhu kungenelela kweSilo ngoba phambilini sabhecwa ngokuthi saba nesandla ekubhebhethekiseni ukuhlaselwa kwabokufika. Lapha iSilo sakhombisa ukuthi singumholi oqotho obeka phambili impilo yabantu kuneyaso.
UHlanga loMhlabathi lwaluzifela ngemfundo futhi lunofuqufuqu lokuphucula imiphumela ka-matric esifundazweni. Minyaka yonke iSilo sasiba yingxenye yemibhiyozo yokujabulela imiphumela ka-matric futhi sigqugquzela izikole ukuthi zigxile emfundweni yamakhono nasezifundweni zezolimo. UNgangezwe Lakhe wayebuzonda ubuvila nabantu ababekhononda ngendlala kodwa behluleka ukusebenzisa umhlaba ukukhiqiza ukudla.
Yingakho siyohlala simhlonipha uMbumbi wesizwe owayevuselela unembeza, umkhombandlela nomhlahlandlela wesizwe owayengumtapo wolwazi ngamagugu esizwe. Nguye owayesitshela ukuthi kumele siphikelele phambili ze sifeze amaphupho amadlozi nawokhokho nokhokhokazi bethu.
Ukumkhumbula ngemva kokuqeda unyaka ilanga lasishonela emini, kuzomele sikhumbule ukuthi iNgonyama kayishoni, iyabuza futhi iyanda ukuze kube nokwanda ezweni. Masikhumbule uBhejane phum’esiqiwini ngokuthi sivuselele ithemba esizweni esikhahlamezwe wubhubhane lweCovid-19, nezibhelu zikaJulayi nyakenye.
Kuzomele sihlale simkhumbula uMdlokombane nezifiso zakhe ukuze kube nenala ezweni, kuphele ububha, ukungalingani nokuntuleka kwemisebenzi. UBhejane wayengumuntu womthandazo, ukukhumbula yena sithandazela ukuthi kube noxolo nokuthula ezweni, emakhaya nasemiphakathini. Sithandazela ukuthi iKwaZulu-Natal ithathe indawo yayo yokuheha izivakashi nabatshali-zimali esifundazweni ukuze kusimame umnotho, kube namathuba emisebenzi, kubuye nesithunzi sethu kwelika Phunga no Mageba.
