“Bantu bakithi uma sixwayisa ngesivunguvungu sesibili seCovid-19, inhloso kusuke kungekhona ukunenza nibe novalo. Njengohulumeni kubalulekile ukuthi sinixwayise uma sibona izinkomba zokuthi kungase kube nengozi. Kungaba ubudedengu uma singaziba sibe sizibona izinkomba noma kuthiwa zincane kangakanani. Umbiko wongoti bezifo ukhomba ukuthi ezinsukwini eziyisikhombisa isibalo sabahaqwe yigciwane senyuke ngo-9.1%. Owezinsuku ezingu-14 ukhomba ukuthi izibalo zenyuke ngo-10.7%,” kusho uMkhize.
Uthe ezinsukwini eziyisikhombisa isibalo sabahaqwe yiCovid-19 eWestern Cape, senyuke ngo-42%.
“UMnyango wezeMpilo kulesiya sifundazwe usuzibonile izindawo lapho abantu betheleleka khona ngobuningi.
Indawo okubukeka inabantu abaningi abatheleleka ngegciwane, iseNingizimu yeKapa engaphansi kweCape Metro, lapho kutheleleke abantu abaningi ebebephuza endaweni yokucima ukoma,” kusho yena.
Uthe indlela abantu abatheleleka ngayo yiyo ezoba wumkhombandlela womkhandlu wongqongqoshe ababhekele iCorona.
“Njengoba umgomo wegciwane ungakabikhona, isikhali esisenaso esokuthi silandele imithetho, siqhelelane, sifake izifonyo siphinde sihlanze nezandla. Sikhuthaze nabaseduze kwethu ukuthi benze okufanayo,” kusho yena.
