NGOLWESIBILI kuzobe kuyi-World Cancer Day, usuku okuhloswe ngalo ukufundisa nokuqwashisa abantu ngobungozi besifo somdlavuza. Kwenziwa izinhlelo ezahlukene emhlabeni ukucebisa abantu ukuthi yini okumele bayenze noma bayigweme ukuze baphephe kuso.
Umkhankaso wokufundisa nokuqwashisa ngalolu suku waqala ngo-2008, yi-Union for International Cancer Control, ngenhloso yokweseka umbono we-World Cancer Declaration wango-2008, wekhwelo lokuthi kufundiswe abantu ngobungozi besifo somdlavuza.
Udokotela wesikhumba ozimele uDkt Cebi Sibisi, wenkampani iDr. Cebi Dermatologist, uthe kusemqoka ukuthi abantu bahlale benza izindlela zokuqinisekisa ukuthi isikhumba sabo sivikelekile ngaso sonke isikhathi ukuze bagweme izifo.

Eqhuba uDkt Sibisi, uthe kuyihaba ukuthi abanebala elikhanyayo yibona kuphela abalengela engozini yokuphathwa wumdlavuza wesikhumba.
“Nakuba abantu abanebala elizothile bengekho engozini kangako kodwa nakubona akhona amathuba okuhaqwa yilesi sifo uma bengazinakekeli ngendlela efanele. Okwabo kuyingozi nangokuthi kubona isifo sijwayele ukuvela sesingene sagxila egazini lomuntu, sekungaselula nhlobo ukuselapha nokusinqanda ukubhebhetheka. Ngakho akekho umuntu ophephile; sonke kumele sizinakekele,” usho kanje.
Nazi ezinye zezindlela ongagwema ngazo ukuphathwa yilesi sifo:
